Young Lions was an Australian TV police drama broadcast on the Nine Network in 2002 and in Ireland on RTÉ Two.The series was based around the professional and private lives of four rookie detectives, the Young Lions, of South West 101, an inner city Sydney police station. The program rated poorly and was not renewed after its first season. Competition from other new drama series and several timeslot changes also contributed to the show's demise.

In 1960, Moroccan Jews began migrating en masse to Israel, encouraged by immigration officers of the new state. The film tells the drama of the story of two families, one Jewish and one Muslim, joined by a close friendship but whose destinies are separated. Selected by Morocco as a candidate for the 2008 Oscar for Best Picture Foreign Language.

Mustapha, a young Moroccan living on small shots, meets a couple of Spanish tourists. The latter dragged him into a heavy traffic of hashish. Forced to flee his country, he finds himself on a makeshift boat, among other men. They are determined to clandestinely reach the Spanish shores in the hope of a bright future.

Allal, a street vendor who sells vegetables to cover the expenses of treating his seriously ill daughter, decides to travel to another city due to bad conditions. He works as a truck driver and lives in the hope of working for a large company owned by the son of one of his friends who comes from abroad.

“Rahal” immigrated to Europe forty years ago. Scandalized by the behavior of his eldest son who participated in a heist, he decides to return to Morocco for good. In his native country, “Rahal” intends to take matters into his own hands. Events take another detour.

Towards the end of the 1940s, in the midst of the struggle against Spanish colonialism, in the village of Aouchtam, lived the family of El Hadj, an old man suffering from blindness. He lives with his two sons and his last wife Aïcha. He suspects the latter of loving one of his sons. After an operation to restore his sight, he returns home, pretending to still be blind...
