Almost 50 years after their founding, Deep Purple released their 20th studio album “Infinite”. Hard rock legends Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey went on tour for the last time. On June 16th they performed at Hellfest, the biggest French metal meeting. Mat Bastard hosted this special, final concert.

Cat Stevens performing a spine-tingling version of Father & Son that rendered the massive Barclays Center quiet as a church. Journey performing three classic cuts: Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), Lights and Don't Stop Believin'. Ringo Starr being welcomed into the Rock Hall with a little help from Paul McCartney. This is a superb collection of live, studio work and videos and a must for anyone who likes rock music. Actually music full stop. Because this is a band of probably the best musicians you will ever hear. So what you get here is simply an amazing collection of excellent music from concerts all over the world as well as some videos from the time. Here you have the cheesy Knocking At Your Back Door and Bad Attitude to smokin live footage of Black Night (84) and Space truckin (85). While the dvd is mainly split evenly between the Blackmore years and Morse years, both are equally outstanding.

The concert gave fans a chance to relive Jon Lord's remarkable and extensive musical career, remembering music from Paice, Ashton Lord, Deep Purple, his later classical compositions and everything in between – all in aid for the charity organization The Sunflower Jam. The 83-piece Orion Orchestra performed, conducted by Paul Mann and accompanied by bands and artists such as Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Glenn Hughes, Bruce Dickinson, Rick Wakeman, Joe Brown, Miller Anderson, Steve Balsamo and many, many more.

Filmed by 12 HD cameras and recorded by a top mobile studio, the show offers one of the most magical performances of the NOW What?! tour. Every member of the band is in fantastic form, the band being strong from a full tour together, and the performance seems to be driving the band through the song like if audience and band were suspended in time.

The 4 CD/2 Blu-ray also features a host of bonus features including two of the VIP Q&A sessions from Morsefest 2019, featuring all of the members of both bands taking questions from the crowd. There are also some additional multiscreen video mixes of tracks from both Flying Colors and the Neal Morse Band. Taken from the iso-cams located on the stage, you get an alternate view of the show from various stage angles, including around, behind and below Mike Portnoy’s drum kit.

Few bands are more closely associated with Montreux than Deep Purple and there was simply no other contender when it came to choosing the act to headline the closing night of the 40th Montreux Festival in 2006. The band duly delivered one of their finest live performances, sprinkling songs from their latest album "Rapture Of The Deep" through a set chock full of their classic tracks. Double bill of live shows by British rockers Deep Purple. The first show, at the open air Wacken festival in Germany, includes the hits 'Vincent Price', 'Strange Kind of Woman' and 'Perfect Strangers'. The second, at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan, includes 'Hard Lovin' Man', 'Above and Beyond' and 'Smoke On the Water'.
