The Colgate Comedy Hour is an American comedy-musical variety series that aired live on the NBC network from 1950 to 1955. The Appearance: At the end of the sketch, Lou Costello encounters the "Gill-man" (the Creature). The Actor: Ben Chapman, who played the Creature in the film's on-land sequences, reprised his role for the sketch. Not a Movie: While often referenced alongside their "Meet the Monsters" films (Frankenstein, Invisible Man, Mummy), this encounter was strictly a TV sketch.
