Zsolt Mohai, an eccentric shop window decorator in his 40s, drops by Anna Parádi on his wedding day, asking her to phone his bride Klára Horváth and call off the event. Drama, discussions and musical numbers ensue over topics like romance, loyalty, ambition, and settling for a family life in a modern day city.

A crime is committed in Paris, and the police are clueless. They call in Simon, a sorcerer with supernatural powers. whilst in Paris, Simon falls in love with Jeanne, although they do not speak each other's language. When Jeanne leaves for a couple of days, Peter, another visionary, calls Simon for a duel: They both have to spend three days buried alive. Will Simon ever meet his love again?

This epic story takes place between 1820 and 1860 during the Habsburg Monarchy, and portrays the life one of the greatest Hungarian aristocrats - Count Széchenyi - who was born with extra-ordinary mental and spiritual talents. In the years following the fall of Napoleon the young count Széchenyi irresponsibly seduces his brother's wife, and the consequent scandal ruins his career as an army officer. After the sudden death of his humiliated lover Count Széchenyi drastically changes his character from that of a shallow young man into a responsible nobleman seeking to conquer his fate by creating great achievements in his remaining life.

Political and sexual repression in Hungary, just after the revolution of 1956. Passionate and determined, Eva gets a job as a journalist. There, she meets Livia and is attracted to her. Livia feels much the same, but as a married woman, has doubts and hesitations. In their work, they (and Eva in particular) bang up against the limits of telling political truths; in private, they confront the limits of living out sexual and emotional truth.

Twelve-year-old Zsolt lives in a dilapidated Budapest flat and is the lone caretaker for his grandmother, a woman lost to drink and confined to her bed. Harassed by local gangs and ignored by an indifferent society, he forms a desperate connection with a pregnant girl. This isolation eventually drives him to commit a series of irreversible, violent acts.

After a young soldier sides with a troupe of travelling actors in a fist fight that erupted while they are performing a play, he is forced to flee and the troupe decides to take him in.

Eckermann (Laszlo Kistamas) is a listless computer whiz who spends most of his time lounging in a bathtub holding imaginary conversations with cartoon characters usually more popular with children than grownups. He has some friends who want to use his skills to steal some money from a local gambling joint. He works out a scheme for his friends and returns to his tub. At some point along the way, he is joined in the water by a lovely Czech refugee, who (perhaps inadvertently) makes it possible for him to die there.

The film is about a piano player who falls in love with Mari, a beautiful blond woman, who happens to be the wife of a deaf-mute animal caretaker. Both men adore Mari, as she loves both of them. Albeit all of them know this way won't stand.

In the week of the book an interview is made with the writer Péter Simon, whose first book of short stories appeared in the prime of his life.

Director Janos Xantus was in the middle of making a video about Hungarian rock star Tamas Pajor when his subject suddenly became a convert to born-again Christianity. As a result, Xantus was able to record the startling transition. Pajor had been a hell-bent rocker, heavily into drugs, and known for a violent temper. We see him become a clean-living, clean-cut youth who sings about Jesus. Xantus had captured pre-conversion tape of Pajor trashing a hotel room and punching his hand through a plate glass window. In one of this film's most effective scenes, the new Pajor, hand heavily bandaged, quietly watches this footage. Rock Terito also has some dramatic recreations, but these add little to our understanding of Pajor. A man becomes acquainted with the mystery of female hands during a trip.

The sixteen year old Bea is on her way home from her sports class when a foreign long- vehicle stops by her and she is asked the way. A shove, the banging of the door, and the long-vehicle pulls away with its victim towards the South. Beas abductors rape her and sell her as a prostitute. She tries to escape, keeps leaving marks behind, hoping that her beloved father, Sándor, will find her.

A young man lives his life daydreaming about Dostoevsky's White Nights and the Visconti film.

János is present at one of Tamás's concerts in the country. After the concert, he takes Tamás's son home in his car, while the couple worry about their son's whereabouts. Later they meet again. Once they played together and were good friends, but János left the band and they had to find a new pianist. The new pianist, Zsuzsa, also meets János. The two of them go to see the amateur film made of the one-time band.

This short film examines the circumstances of an unintentional murder, without success. As Wittgenstein stated, "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent." ("Wovon man nicht sprechen kann, darüber muss man schweigen.")
