Fernando Arau Corona is a Mexican actor, comedian, mime, writer, producer, director and musician, son of director and producer Alfonso Arau and choreographer and former dancer of the "Ballet Folklorico de Mexico" Magdalena Corona. His brother is the guitarist of Botellita de Jerez, Sergio Arau. He is best known for his television roles as Chicho in Televisa's hit sitcom "Cachun Cachun Ra Ra" (1981-1987) and Univision's daily morning show "Despierta America" (1997-2009).

The show involves celebrities being paired up with professional dancers. Each couple performs ballroom or Latin dances and competes for judges' critiques and audience votes. Whichever couple receives the lowest total amount of judges' critique and audience votes is eliminated until a champion is named at the end. Each celebrity is competing for a grand total of $50,000 for a charity of their choice.

Cachún cachún ra ra! was a Mexican comedy series that was produced from 1981 to 1987 for Televisa. Cachún cachún ra ra! was a teen comedy show whose setting was in highschool. In addition to the usual trials and traumas of adolescence, the students of the school had to contend with the wrath of their nasty school principal, a woman who's been dubbed "Godzilla." It is remembered as one of the most entertaining comedic shows of the 1980s in Mexico. The show set the stage for future Hispanic television sitcoms.
