Living in a posh mansion named Swarg, this is the story of Sahabji, his wife sister Jyoti, two brothers, and a sister-in-law. On the way back from Agra, Suraj's has an accident, he does survive but is grievously injured. After he recuperates he finds he cannot speak due to a brain blood clot. Janki's marriage takes place and she re-locates to Agra.
Inspector Ranjit Singh's family is torn apart after a bank robber named Kundan attacks them in revenge, causing their jeep to plunge into the river. Though Ranjit saves his wife and later imprisons Kundan, their two children are lost and raised separately under new identities—one by a bandit and the other by a petty thief.
