A detective leaves the force to take over the family business as an undertaker at the same time as he is being investigated for murder. His close encounters with corpses and his earlier police training lead him to see things some of his ex-colleagues miss and he investigates the crimes he encounters in an unofficial capacity often to the dismay of the official police.

The year is 1915. Europe is engulfed in the flames of the First World War. At this time, the revolutionary theorist, political emigrant and adventurer Alexander Parvus is holding talks with the German Foreign Minister, Gottlieb von Jagow. The negotiations end with unexpected success. The German government personally allocates "a lot of money" to Parvus, which should go to the revolution in Russia. This is the beginning of a story that tells not only about the life of this extraordinary man and his role in the historical events that ended in October 1917.

The film is based on a real story that happened in 1943 in the Sobibor concentration camp in German-occupied Poland. The main character of the movie is the Soviet-Jewish soldier Alexander Pechersky, who at that time was serving in the Red Army as a lieutenant. In October 1943, he was captured by the Nazis and deported to the Sobibor concentration camp, where Jews were being exterminated in gas chambers. But, in just 3 weeks, Alexander was able to plan an international uprising of prisoners from Poland and Western Europe. This uprising resulted in being the only successful one throughout the war, which led to the largest escape of prisoners from a Nazi concentration camp.

Ivan Demarin, a young officer of Peter the First’s new guards, follows the Tsar’s order and goes to the frontier town of Tobolsk, deep in the Siberian forest. There Ivan falls in love for the first time and he and his regiment happen to be involved in conspiracy of local princes who hunt for gold in the town of Yarkand. His fort is surrounded by hordes of wild Dzungars and there is no one to call for help…

Marijan is forced to witness and experience things an adult would have an incredibly difficult time dealing with. He is nevertheless faced with the inexplicably horrid events war brings out in people. The story centers on a present day Marijan- now the very successful owner of a wood manufacturing business. On one random day a man walks into his store and all of the memories he wishes he could long forget come flooding back, forcing him to relive them. Despite his immense hardships, Marijan lives on in forgiveness, always seeking the positives that lay in the future rather than rehashing and remaining in the past.

The genius of mathematics Mikhail Nefedov teaches probability theory and mathematical statistics at the university. He remembers everything he has ever heard, seen or read. Mikhail learns that his teenage son has a dangerous genetic disease, the treatment of which will require a multimillion-dollar sum. After selling the apartment, Nefedov makes a perfectly calculated bet on a local football league match, but loses. He couldn't have made a mistake, which means there is an unaccounted variable in the equation. The relationship of Alex and Teresa has hit hard times. This war drama is dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). It revolves around Pavel Zubov, a school teacher whose village was occupied by the fascists. Being a teacher is his calling in life. He believes in such basic human values as love and family. However, a certain chain of events changes the way he perceives life and leads him to a darker view of reality. In this time of war, as the enemy shows its true face, he must make an uneasy choice to either survive and adapt to the new regime or fight for his family, love, homeland, ideals, and beliefs.

On 9 May a German comes to Russia to marry the Russian beauty Alena, whom he had met in Berlin. The happy couple goes to the village to meet the bride’s relatives. However, Alena’s former husband Tolya is also on the way there: he has unexpectedly decided to get his wife back.
