Kalyani lives in a small tenement with three sons, Vijay, Nandu, and Bhola, all of whom are unemployed, slackers and trouble-makers. One day Nandu gets into serious trouble with Shantilal, who summons the police, and has him arrested. Kalyani goes to the Police Station to plead with the In-Charge Officer to release Nandu, to no avail. She then goes to Shantilal to try to persuade him to withdraw the charges, also to no avail.

Life changes drastically for Lala Gokulchand (Om Prakash), a lowly shopkeeper, when a rich relative dies and he becomes an overnight millionaire. But his lucky break has a flip side in that it makes him a target for a scheming con artist (Pran) with plans to ruin him. Devendra Goel directs this classic Bollywood family drama with a supporting cast that includes Sanjay Khan, Babita Kapoor, Helen, Manorama and Baby Sonia.

Summoned by an Indian princess, Tarzan travels to India where hundreds of wild elephants are in danger. A company is building a hydroelectric dam and the contractors have only a few weeks to finish the job. The building of the dam will flood the valley surrounded by mountains. There is one pass through which the elephant herd can escape but that is being closed. Tarzan comes up against an old nemesis, Bryce, the chief engineer. Bryce undertook a similar dam project in Africa and had a penchant for shooting elephants. It's up to Tarzan to organize the move before Bryce manages to close the pass.

Alcoholic womanizer Shyam meets with Shanti and gets married to her. Sudha Verma wants to be the ideal daughter for her dad, and mom. Unfortunately, her mom passes away, and her dad re-marries, this time to Kamla, who is self-serving and not at all interested to see Sudha marry and settle down. Sudha meets with Dr. Rajesh Anand, and both fall in love. All approve of the marriage, until Rajesh sees the invitation card for Sudha's marriage, and realizes that his marriage has been arranged with Sharda, and that Sudha is to marry Rakesh. Rajesh attempts to straighten this out, but idealistic Sudha does not agree as she does not want to embarass her dad. Unfortunately, Sudha marriage does not take place, as the dowry money has been stolen. Rajesh returns and hopes to marry Sudha, but finds that Sudha and her dad are missing, and are untraceable, and then returns home to find a look-alike of Sudha, who calls herself Asha, but denies ever being or knowing anyone named Sudha Verma.

Reshma is a pretty petty thief who picks the pocket of a poor but honourable man and when discovered, her life begins to take a turn. Reshma was kidnapped for revenge as a kid by a dangerous criminal on the run. His right arm had to be amputated as a result of shots fired by the police inspector chasing him. Bhagat raises Reshma, teaching her tricks of the pick-pocket business. Bombay's underworld of illicit alcohol, smuggling, goons and the close linkages between crime and politics feature richly in the plot. Reshma falls in love with a policeman but Bhagat wants her to marry Jaggi a local thug. Reshma wants to reform her life, give up her life of petty criminality and enter society. Bhagat sees his meal ticket vanishing with Reshma's wanting to toe the straight path. So Bhagat sets a train of events in motion that will take Reshma to the gallows. Mr. Gupta passes away after an accident while on duty, leaving behind his ailing wife and school-going son, Ramnath. Both await for some compensation, and when they are informed that the company does not accept liability for Gupta's death, his wife falls down the stairs. and passes out. When Ramnath goes to fetch a doctor, he is knocked down and run over by a speeding car, losing the use of his left leg. When he returns from hospital, he finds that his mom has passed away, and his landlord has evicted him. Penniless and hungry, he roams the streets of Bombay and befriends a blind young man, Mohan, and both use their talents - playing and harmonica and singing respectively to earn some money. Mohan is on the look-out for his sister, Meena, who works as a Nurse in one of the hospitals and hopes to be reunited with her. Both friends befriend a ailing young girl, Manjula, and hope to get some money from her so that Ramnath can attend school.

A group of people of Indian origin live on an Island which contains a tomb of Shahenshah Chandi Sona which is believed to contain jewelry, diamonds, and gold. Mayur and Rita, stage actor love-birds, plot with Amar to steal this wealth and better their lives. They decide to buy a house from a woman named Mayadevi, and after doing so they decide to make a swimming pool and through that dig a tunnel right underneath the tomb and help themselves to the riches that they find there. They also decide to enlist the help of four jailbirds by dramatically helping them to escape from prison. After the completion of the tunnel, they run into an underground pool of water and enlist the help of undersea divers Bikram and Sharma.

Gopal intends to take over the entire region under Raja Saheb, by hook or by crook. Things go his way when Raja signs a power of attorney in his name, and then accidentally shoots and kills a young woman named Silky, Gopal persuades Raja to run and hide from the police. Raja's daughter, Sunita, is overseas, and when she returns home, she is befriended by a young man named Jai, who assures her that he is there to help her, and re-instate Raja. What Sunita does not know is that Jai is friendly with the very people who had helped Gopal overthrow Raja

Love story about an actress falling in love with her costar

Gourishankar is an eyewitness to the murder of an honest customs officer Sudarshan Kumar who dared to defy Jethia, the kingpin of an organization of cocaine smugglers called "Shangrila". The smugglers implicate Gourishankar in a false theft charge and his wife dies of shock. The evil organisation kills his son and kidnaps his daughter. Gourishankar only mission in life is to find his daughter and take revenge on Jethia.

When Reeta gets out of prison, her mother has died. She meets Heeralal, who has also been cheated by Sohanlal, and together they work out a plot for revenge. Reeta is to marry Sohanlal's son and then reveal her history, disgracing Sohanlal's name. Things quickly become more complicated than anticipated.

Asha lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay with her widowed dad, who would like her to get married to Dr. Prakash. While vacationing in Kashmir, she meets with a young man, Rajan, and both fall in love with each other. When she returns home and attends Dr. Prakash's birthday party, she gets a pleasant surprise when she finds out that Rajan is Prakash's friend. Rajan introduces Asha to his mom, while Asha introduces Rajan to her dad, and both parents approve of their match. Before they can get engaged, Rajan had promised his late father that he would obtain a degree from Oxford University, and be back after one year. He decides to travel by boat, which meets with an accident and there are no survivors. A shocked and devastated Asha finds out that Rajan's death has killed her dad, and she throws herself in her work as a doctor, working side by side with Prakash.
