Sachidanandan (Dileep) runs an antique shop in the Jewish street at Kochi. He is famous for old Gramophone records. Sachi hates music, as he believes that his father has not made any money out of it. Aryadevi, a famous singer, who has been given her first break by Raveendran, comes to Kochi from Bombay with her daughter Pooja (Navya Nair).

Gemini, a gangster, falls for Manisha who reciprocates his love without knowing his truth. After getting arrested and completing his term, he tries to convince his lover that he is a changed man.

Moosa, a private detective, faces many challenges while solving various cases. His only rival is his own brother-in-law, Peethambaran, who is a police officer.

A story of homecoming from late 1970s, when 10 year old Vicky arrives at his grandparents home in rural Kerala to attend his grandfather's funeral. The disjointed family gathers together for the sixteen day long funeral period. During this period, Vicky discovers more about himself, his family and culture than he had expected to. The journey is narrated through the memories of an adult Vicky who returns to the same house to recount the experience.

Mathilukal ('Walls') is a free adaptation of the novelette of the same name, written by the celebrated Malayalam writer, Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Autobiographical in character, it is set against the background of India’s freedom struggle in the ’40s when he was serving a term of imprisonment in the Trivandrum Central Jail. When the film opens, we see Basheer in a police lock-up, quite at home in the company of a few petty criminals. He has been languishing there for more than a year now without a trial.

Govindan (Manivannan) is a thief who has two children. Aadhi (Pasupathy) and Mathi ('Chiyaan' Vikram). Years go by and the two, Aadhi and Madhi, decide to stop stealing and mend their ways and lead a hardworking life along with their father. In efforts to help Chidambaran, Mathi confronts Seetha Lakshmi (Asin), Kalingarayar's daughter, who comes to collect the money Chidambaram owes her father. Seetha Lakshmi starts to acquire a liking for Mathi but keeps it hidden due to her father's atrocious temper. In an attempt to teach Kalingarayar a lesson, Mathi forcibly ties the mangalsutram around Seetha's neck. Kalingarayar, realizing his daughter's love for Mathi...

A hangman questions the moral implications of his job after learning that he executed an innocent man.

Philip (Mammootty) is the owner of a financing company. Raju (Rahman), Philip's younger brother is a drug addict and is put under rehab. Convinced that he's out of his habit Philip sends him off to Madras to pursue his studies. However on a subsequent visit to the city Philip realises that Raju has gone back to his old habits. Amidst this Raju steals some money and gets away in Philip's car which meets with an accident killing him. Years later Philip gets married to Cicily (Sobhana) and one day mysteriously Raju comes back to their house alive.
