Psychodrama. Black and white images of a mining area under the influence of a highly orthodox Catholicism in the 1930s are interspersed with color images of a protest action to save a small church.

Four inmates are ordered to enter an annual four day walking tournament. When they get over their initial annoyment, each one of them finds a way to take advantage of their time out of jail.

Victim of the breakdown in trust and communication between his estranged parents 12 year old Sem de Rijn has not seen his father for 6 months when he arrives at his school one afternoon and offers the boy a holiday. They run away together driving through Holland and Belgium, camping out and generally having the kinds of adventures a boy dreams of until pursued by the police and torn between his love for his mother and his father, Sem and his father return to face the music.

A 15-year-old girl meets her father for the first time. He never married her mother because his adventurous life did not allow it. He takes his daughter on a working vacation to the exotic island of Aruba, where after a timid start a strong bond develops between father and daughter. Until she discovers that her father is 'unfaithful' to her.

An experimental short film that evokes moments in the life of a man recreated through the magic of memory. Made from documents from various sources, this film is composed of several scenes: the stages of the day and of life between joy and carefree youth, the cruelty of the working world, the horror of war. The final result is put into perspective with the birth of a child, perpetuating the cycle of life.

The short documentary Bronbeek bijvoorbeeld sketches a portrait of KNIL (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army) veterans living out their last days in the Bronbeek home for retired servicemen in Arnhem. Here, the old soldiers live surrounded by memories of days gone by. Flags, uniforms, photos: all reminders of a world that no longer exists. The home is also a museum, its residents a part of the past on display.
