When a train carrying atomic warheads mysteriously crashes in the former Soviet Union, a nuclear specialist discovers the accident is really part of a plot to cover up the theft of the weapons. Assigned to help her recover the missing bombs is a crack Special Forces Colonel.
SS-Lieutenant Colonel Helmut Von Schreader conceives an unusual plan to escape the aftermath of the Second World War by disguising himself as a Jewish Concentration Camp victim. However, even that relationship can't seem to fullfill his desires, so he starts a steamy affair with Marta Štajner, the widow of wealthy wartime-era crime lord Dragutin Karl Štajner. Wanting to impress his new fling, Janko decides to abuse his position as a police officer and starts getting further into criminal territory, but, he quickly gets in way over his head.
