Takeshi Hongo is a promising young man with a passion for motorcycle racing. The Terrestrial Defense Force establishes the Ultra Garrison, a team of six elite members who utilize high-tech vehicles and weaponry. Horror Theater Unbalance is a 1973 Japanese Anthology television series created by Tsuburaya and Fuji TV to air on the Fuji TV network on Monday Nights for 13 episodes. Originally started in production in 1969, it was shelved and took years for its airing debut to begin its broadcast, before production was eventually completed at the end of 1972. It was then aired on Fuji TV in 1973.

Toshiko does not have long to live. She wants to make the most of her time while she can and takes a sojourn to where her true hometown for which she has so much nostalgia and admiration. This is the first part of an omnibus TV drama special production starring three popular idols at that time, namely Nakayama Miho, Oginome Yoko, and Koizumi Kyoko. The stories, or mysterious events, all started with the revelation of the anomaly phenomenon by Horaguchi-sensei, the trio's physics teacher. The anomaly is due to the concurrent event of Hinamatsuri and the visit of Halley's comet to the inner solar system on March 3rd. Horaguchi-sensei teaches the class how to make use of the anomaly to unlock a mysterious event. This can be done by using any camera while chanting the specific keywords when pressing the camera shutter. From there, three separately mysterious events involving the three heroines began.

In a struggling small theater troupe, director Inuo pressures an actor to perform a death role with extreme intensity, resulting in a fatal accident. Despite the tragedy, Inuo attempts to proceed with the scheduled performance. Legendary underground theater performers Jūrō Kara and Mako Midori appear in the episode, exploring themes of theatre performance, obsession, and the boundary between reality and illusion.
