Biography
Mulie Jarju (Gàmbia, 1957) is a Spanish actor of Gambian origin. At the end of the 1980s he left his country with the intention of settling in Austria, but he decided first to go to Europe and went to Spain. He settled in Mataró, where he learned Catalan and Spanish and became an affectionate actor. He met Montxo Armendáriz, who hired him to play an illegal immigrant in Las cartas de Alou, with which he won the Silver Award for best actor at the 1990 Sant Sebastià International Film Festival. After appearing in some successful television series such as Farmacia de guardia and Los ladrones van a la oficina, in 1995 he participated in El techo del mundo and settled in Madrid. He has appeared in television series such as Policias, El comisario, Los Serrano and Hospital Central.
