During the journey, Bob and Sally begin to develop feelings for each other, though Bob remains stubborn and flustered, insisting he doesn't need a "liability" like her. After a fight, Sally leaves Bob and returns to her wealthy family to marry her "dullard" fiancé, Freddie Miller. To force Bob into admitting his feelings, Sally's father announces her immediate marriage to Freddie. Learning of the wedding while working as a telephone lineman, Bob rushes to the estate. In a climactic moment, he cuts the power wires to the lights during the ceremony and elopes with Sally.
Lugosi: Hollywood's Dracula uncovers the life and career of legendary actor Bela Lugosi, examining his early life in Hungary and Germany through his Hollywood successes and eventual decline. The film features a vast array of never-before-seen footage of the actor, ranging from remains of his 1918 film Struggle for Life to behind-the-scenes home movies on the set of RKO Studios. Lugosi is peppered with dozens of rare films clips and photographs, with the story itself coming to life thanks to the vast array of on-camera interviewees.
Jim Fowler is Western University's football hero and is constantly besieged by reporters. Jim's father Ezra comes to visit him and becomes reacquainted with an old Western football chum, Mr. Chandler, who happens to be the father of Jim's girlfriend Joan. Jim keeps his roommate, Andy, busy by sending him to collect money on their laundry concessions business, even though Andy is desperately trying to meet his girlfriend Thelma, who has just come for a visit. When the coach tells Chandler and Fowler that Jim is nervous and erratic, Chandler invites Jim to spend the night before the big game at his home.
