Downstairs is an adult animated series that follows a cast of wacky and colourful Kopitiam stalls owners on the ground floor of an unnumbered HDB flat, in an unnamed HDB estate. "Happy Go Lucky" seeks to tackle the issue of gambling in a light-hearted yet touching manner. However, Fu Xin actually is a surreptitious 'Lucky Star' who always manages to turn unfavourable conditions into favourable ones. Fu Xin sacrifices a lot for the family. And in a twist of fate and luck, she unexpectedly helps Poh to win a hefty sum of money. Meanwhile, Poh and Donna find themselves stranded along the streets of Cambodia in a failed attempt to recoup their losses at the gambling tables.

Holland V is a 2003 Singaporean drama series produced by MediaCorp. It was the third long-running drama in Singaporean television history, and was modelled on the long running Hong Kong drama A Kindred Spirit. Like A Kindred Spirit, the main family in the series, the Mo family, operates a small restaurant in Holland Village. Originally intended to be 115 episodes long, the series was extended to 125 episodes after performing strongly in ratings.
