Synopsis
A happy childhood of a Soviet girl in a tiny military town in the southern Urals. Dad was away from home for a long time, and when he returned, he was thin and cheerful, and smelled of steppe grass, sun, and wind. Only a decade later, the girl learns about the tests of the atomic bomb at the test site in Totsk, in which her father took part.
