Synopsis
When star soccer player Edwin Kuijpers is found dead on the center spot of the Amsterdam Arena, it is a stab in the heart for all Ajax fans, and especially for Vledder. He is therefore more determined than ever to assist De Cock in the investigation behind the scenes of the popular football club. They discover that the victim was about to transfer to a club in England. Could jealousy be a factor, or is there more to it than that? De Cock proves himself to be a skilled referee with a keen eye for detail. Just as calm seems to be returning to Ajax circles, a second death occurs. This time, it appears to be suicide, but De Cock refuses to be deterred.
