Synopsis
During the WW2, a German filtration camp "Hope" was organized in the occupied territory, where they conduct experiments on children. Twins are considered to be of special value - the most valuable material for experiments. And when one of the twins escapes from the camp, the Germans raise the alarm, trying to find the escaped boy. This complicates life and the inhabitants of the nearest village, and partisan detachment, and even the local police. In the center of the development of events is the life of little Petya and the touching love story of a young couple - the police officer Andrei and the daughter of the headman Nina. Heroes time after time face the death of loved ones, confrontation, distrust and deceit. Those who yesterday were friends become the most dangerous enemies, and those who yesterday would not have been given a hand, will be revealed from a new side.
