Through it all Dusty is determined to bring Corbeau back to Texas (and April, too, if he can manage it.)

Along the way there is plenty of drinking, gambling, and singing. They even find time to do some creative gold mining.

After the Civil War, Confederate soldiers Clint and Vance Reno steal a Union payroll, leading to conflict when the younger marries the woman his older brother loves.
