Un enfant vole rapidement la voiture de Michael, le laissant au Zip & Sip, un dépanneur. Trois voleurs maladroits mettent rapidement en place une retenue. Deux décollent avec l'argent échouant le troisième, avec une caisse mystérieuse, juste au moment où les flics arrivent. Le voleur prend le magasin en otage. Alors que des flics incompétents font appel à une équipe SWAT et tentent un sauvetage à la sauvette, Michael doit garder le voleur calme, découvrir ce qu'il y a dans la caisse, aider les négociations et revenir à Rae. Le syndrome de Stockholm affirme son effet.

Fantozzi est un employé de bureau basique et stoïque. Il est en proie à un monde de difficultés qu’il ne surmonte jamais malgré tous ses efforts. Villagio interprète ces épisodes, basés sur des histoires de son propre livre, d’une manière que beaucoup comparent à Buster Keaton. Avec une production à petit budget, ce film était néanmoins extrêmement populaire en Italie.

During a sun-soaked Sicilian summer, aimless filmmaking undergrad and back-seat radical Tanino has a fling with Sally, a dreamy American tourist from an upper background. À travers leurs déconvenues cocasses, qu'ils enregistrent scrupuleusement en biffant une à une les promesses fascistes au fur et à mesure de leur trahison, les deux personnages perdent progressivement leurs illusions. Le film s'achève sur l'entrée dans Rome, présentée par des images d'archives, au moment même où les deux compagnons décident de quitter, écœurés, le mouvement fasciste.

Pasquale Baudaffi, on amnesty, comes out of prison and starts looking for a job with the help of his cousin Gaetano.
