Synopsis
When a global pandemic shuts Hong Kong’s borders, hundreds of thousands of foreign domestic workers are stranded far from home. Among them is Sonia, a strong-willed Indonesian domestic worker whose world is shattered when she learns that her mother has died. Unable to return home, she takes it upon herself to organize the funeral from afar, piecing together a final farewell through a livestream thousands of miles away. But she’s forced to choose between her mother’s final farewell and the woman who depends on her for care.
