El Gaucho is central to the dramatic tension in our story: he is idealised by La Novia and a threat to the honour of El Novio. Akin to the famous Gauchito Gil he provides for his community by resisting colonial control. Angelo brought nuance and a raw vulnerability to his role in the 16mm project.
