Synopsis
# The Story of Maryam The story of Maryam who reluctantly accepts the reality of being forced into a polygamous marriage by her husband Iskandar at the request of her father-in-law Haji Ismail. Her mother-in-law, Hajah Siah, disagrees but is forced to accept her husband's request on the grounds that they have been married for 10 years but have no grandchildren. The arrival of Sofia as his second wife, who has a child named Sara, is accepted albeit bitterly by Maryam. Although she is the second wife, Sofia is constantly jealous of Maryam, especially when Maryam is confirmed to be pregnant. Iskandar is delighted to hear the news, but Haji Ismail falls victim to Sofia's instigation, saying that Iskandar is neglecting him. One day Iskandar is poisoned and is confirmed dead. Maryam is defamed by Sofia, causing the death of their husband.
