Synopsis
When a stranded soldier shows up on a peasant family’s doorstep pleading for shelter, they take him in on account of their religious values. However, as famine ravages the region and the family begins to starve, they are forced to reckon with their morality as the soldier’s presence becomes more and more untenable.
