Synopsis
When the corpse of a notorious highwayman appears in a sleepy mountain village, a reclusive widower must embark on a dangerous two-day journey to the nearest cemetery. Along the way, he's forced to consider what he may have taken for granted in life, and reconnect with his wilder side. The Funeral Path is a darkly comic look at the conflicting pressures of state, church and community in 1800s Ireland.
