Synopsis
A story about how loss affects a remote Scottish community. Told through the eyes of young Rita, the film follows the community’s youngest members as they experience and process such events. It is a sensitive and realist coming-of-age story that allows us to consider how we are shaped by our exposure to adversity and tenderness at a young age. ‘I Before E’ is a story about hope and the strength of children in the face of life’s hardest moments.
