The West Bank Was Palestine
Synopsis
This is the original NRK documentary broadcast in 1989, often misattributed online to Day of Rage. It features rare interviews with Palestinian and Israeli youth sharing their experiences during the First Intifada. At the heart of the film is Rula, a young Palestinian girl from the West Bank, speaking candidly in English about her daily life under occupation. The documentary juxtaposes her testimony with that of Israeli teenagers, offering a unique and humanizing perspective on a deeply polarized conflict.
