Synopsis
Irene, a theater enthusiast and devoted admirer of artist Paula Rego, moves between a yearning to know and the fear of what she might uncover. Through Rego’s haunting work, she finds a doorway into her father’s past. In an imagined dialogue with the dead, she seeks out Emilio — a retired soldier she suspects may have carried the weight of unspeakable acts.
