Synopsis
Guido, an Italian film director who moves in high artistic circles, is preparing to shoot a film in Budapest. He unexpectedly meets Anna, whose simplicity touches him and evokes the poetry that the director has long lost. Guido faces a decision: sell his soul to the devil and cast the rich magnate's untalented daughter in the lead role, or cast Anna, who would be perfect for the part, but whose innocence and purity would be sacrificed if he brought her into his world.
