Synopsis
A widow belongs to tribe, wants to make her only daughter, literate. This tribe has a tradition of selling girls and widows. Her Father-in-law quotes his sons’ debts and he borrows money. She decides to leave the house, goes to her brother’s place. When the money lender arrives, he starts harassing her as he had already spent 1.25 lakh on her. She refuses to join him. This becomes a bigger issue than she has ever imagined. When the village heads meet up and decide that she should live with the man, who had spent money on her, what option does she have? Will she be able to fight against a male dominant society?
