Synopsis
In ‘Asef In Space’, a fishing woman attempts to ignite the imagination of a young Afghan refugee, leading them on a nocturnal journey through the port city of Bushehr. The short film interweaves the actors’ personal experiences and brings new context to traditional Persian archetypes, exploring the paradoxes of the global refugee crisis, and underlining the power of imagination in children.
